Mission
Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2022, the friends of the belmont public library (fobpl) promotes, enhances and supports programs and services that advance our library's mission to foster literacy and lifelong learning. As a nonprofit, charitable 501(c)(3), the fobpl is an all-volunteer organization that raises funds from individual membership donations and book sales. We fund the purchase of boston-area museum passes, summer reading programs for children, teens and adults, 3d printing classes, english conversation circles, author series, music series, the one book one belmont community read, and other important gifts to the library.
