Friends does a lot of outreach to the public - onsite at the refuge or at other locations. In keeping with the fact that bosque del apache nwr is a "refuge for all seasons" we run at least one event in each season, with our largest and most famous being the festival of the cranes. See details on schedule o.
Refuge support - see details on schedule o.
The friends have several programs that benefit and supplement the education and outreach efforts of the refuge such as an education program for elementary school-aged children, bus scholarships for k-12 school-aged kids and for other organizations, the quarterly newsletter, and other public relations efforts.
