To foster close relations between the Mountain View Library and its citizens; to promote knowledge of the functions, resources, services, and needs of the Library; to aid in the development of programs to extend Library services; and to provide additional funding for the Library.

AID THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROGRAMS FOR THE EXTENSION OF LIBRARY SERVICES AND RESOURCES: a) Funded books and entertainment for the summer reading program attended by 1,195 children and teens; b) funded 1 parenting class attended by 25 parents; c) funded 35 programs and workshops attended by 2,739 children and teens, d) funded 53 programs and workshops attended by 2,114 adults.
FOSTER CLOSE RELATIONS BETWEEN THE LIBRARY AND CITIZENS OF MOUNTAIN VIEW AND ENVIRONS: a) funded subscriptions to the New York Times, NYT Cooking and NYT Games, b) provided funds for staff enrichment events, c) provided one scholarship to the program "Leadership Mountain View".
