Friends Of The Peoria Public Library

Friends of peoria public library supports numerous and diverse ppl programs and services each year to help further the library's mission statement, which includes the "love of reading and the joy of discovery." we help the library serve patrons of every age and description as they strive to grow through educational pursuits, traditional learning, new computer skills, and life training. Friends collaborates with peoria public schools and others throughout central illinois to urge children to understand the value of reading, work hard to increase their skills, and pass that passion on to the next generation in their family, their neighborhood, and even broader. Friends of peoria public library is composed of individuals from all walks of life bound together by a shared recognition of the important role libraries play in education and our community.
