To coordinate the efforts of volunteers assisting with the permitting, planning, oversight and funding of the restoration of the summer haven river. The river, located in st. Johns county, florida, ceased to flow due to a massive sand infiltration caused by an ocean breach after three successive major storms in 2008. The summer haven river has educational , economic, recreational, environmental, historic, and safety value for st. Johns county, florida and it surrounding areas.
