To provide support to the u.s. Forest service utah avalanche center (uac) in promoting avalanche safetly and providing and promoting education to the public through various channels.

The friends of the utah avalanche forecast center fuac also provides education on avalanche awareness and safety directly to the public by sponsoring avalanche awareness seminars, lectures, videos and avalanche education courses to educate the general public on safe practices and methods of backcountry travel.
Know before you go program. This progaram was implemented in 2004 to focus on youth avalanche education presenting programs in middle school, junior high, and high schools throughout utah.
