We held the following events and festivals: Chocolate, Coffee, and Vanilla Festival (January) and the Vallarta Bird and Nature Festival (February) attracted hundreds of visitors and emphasized biodiversity awareness. Hummingbird Week (July) celebrated 13 local hummingbird species with themed dance shows, feeding sessions, and educational tours. Other signature events included the Mango Festival (August) and the Butterfly Weekend (October), which featured fun family-friendly awareness-building activities. VBG participated in the Green Macaw Festival (November) and Jaguar Festival (November), which both focused on urgent wildlife conservation.

We made several infrastructure & garden developments: Repaired significant storm damage from Hurricane Lidia (October 2023): the Native Plant Conservatory reopened after major roof reconstruction, while the Cactus and Rhododendron Houses were both successfully repaired and reopened to the public. Construction completed on a state-of-the-art 20,000 sq. ft. greenhouse with automated irrigation system, now housing propagated orchids for future exhibits, conservation and, most importantly, reintroduction into the wild. Installation of a new laminar flow hood in the in-vitro orchid propagation laboratory, reducing contamination and improving the quality of the orchids grown.
