To promote the maintenance, improvement and expansion of the physical facilities, furnishings and equipment, including real estate, of the public library of the town of marshfield, ma and to implement or advance any plans whereby the library may obtain new land and/or buildings for its direct use in providing or improving library services to the citizens of the town.
