Improve the quality of life for animals and their families in our community and reduce the number of animals surrendered to the animal shelter.

No Empty Bowl pet food pantry. Started in March 2020 to address the need for pet food help due to the loss of income due to the pandemic. Continued since this is a reason some people surrender their pets to the shelter and our goal is to keep pets in their homes. We provided pet food for 3,268 pets in 2024.

Expenses: $51K

Rescue/Medical sponsorships. Provided to Wake County Animal Center, adopters and rescues to help with costly medical expenses for animals at the center. Without our assistance these animals may be euthanized. 144 animals were sponsored in 2024.

Through Community Outreach we helped 75 pets and their families directly with pet food, pet housing and vet care.

Expenses: $6K

Heal a Heart provides sponsorships for adopted dogs who are heartworm positive to give them a better chance at adoption. 44 dogs were treated with our sponsorship in 2024.
