THE PURPOSE OF MY SISTER'S HOUSE (MSH) IS TO SUPPORT SINGLE HOMELESS WOMEN WITHOUT CHILDREN THROUGH A TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM THAT ADDRESSES BARRIERS TO INDEPENDENT LIVING AND FOCUSES ON SECURING SAFE AFFORDABLE HOUSING, MAINTAINING EMPLOYMENT, IMPROVING FINANCIAL LITERACY, AND MANAGING PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH. MSH PROVIDES RESOURCES THROUGH THE CLINICAL TEAM TO IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS BARRIERS TO HOUSING, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTHCARE, AND EMPLOYMENT. RESIDENTS TOGETHER WITH STAFF, DEVELOP A MONTHLY MONITORED INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN (IDP,) THAT INCLUDES EMPLOYMENT AND EDUCATION GOALS, A PERMANENT HOUSING PLAN, AND GOALS TO IMPROVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH FAMILY, COMMUNITY AND SELF.
