To foster, promote and advance greater knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the arts;to encourage the creation, development and presentation of, and participation in, artistic activities and works to disseminate such works through various means and venues. To preserve, promote and perpetuate the American musical arts form known as jazz by presenting performances, creating educational programs concerning jazz and it's history, and serving as an advocate by continuing efforts to raise awareness of the vibrant, ever-changing art form.
