The club promotes the enjoyment of irish culture through the sponsorship of the fairfield gaelic pipe band, clan na gael players, a group of approximately 30 members who perform plays written by irsih playwrights or addressing irish themes, hosting irish language and dance classes, traditional irish music sessions and lectures on irish history and current events. The club also supports irish sports, a big part of the irish culture, through sponsorship of the st. Patrick's gaelic football and hurling club and the weekly televising of irish football and hurling broadcasts from ireland in season. The club also studies genealogy and maintains an irish themed library.
The club runs an active seniors program with monthly luncheons and periodic day trips. A library containing irish literature is maintained and a separate irish-themed children's room is available to members and guests. Two to three scholarships are awarded each year to rising college freshmen and various charities are supported by the club.
