Mission

GRIN was founded to establish a relationship between animal shelters in Spain and animal lovers in the US and around the world. GRIN raises awareness of the galgo's plight through networking and social media. Our primary goal is to aid shelters through fundraising. we assist with adoptions to rehome galgos.

Grants to Shelters - We accumulated, through spontaneous donations, auctions, & word-of-mouth fundraising, funds to provide grants to three shelters in Spain for things like office computers, vehicle repairs, facility improvements, and operating funds so that the shelters could provide better care for their animals.

Galgo Adoption in the US - Part of our mission is to provide adoptive homes for galgos brought to the US by bringing adoptable dogs to the US. In 2023, GRIN funded the transportation costs of, and/or assisted with the transport of 13 dogs (including those from another org.) &placed those under our care into homes in several states across the US, and Canada.
