Galveston Historical Foundation Inc

Ghf preservation and conservation services advances the preservation and revitalization of galveston's historic neighborhoods, buildings and cultural resources. This department oversees the preservation resource center, architectural salvage warehouse, revolving fund and a variety of community programs including windstorm exemption and historic tax credit consulting.

Ghf historic properties include the operation of two museum sites, the 1892 bishop's palace and the texas seaport museum. Ghf maintains and operates five other historic sites as rental venues and a collections facility. Through the texas seaport museum, we operate the seagull ii, our maritime and historic harbor tour vessel. Education and group tours play a major function in bringing visitors to the sites.
