In March of 2025, three members of our Sigma Chapter Affiliated Housing Corporation (AHC) Board and our chapter's house director attended the Housing and Facilities Conference which was presented by Gamma Phi Beta's Facility Management Company for three days in St. Louis, Missouri. The purpose of the conference was to assist AHC volunteers in fostering welcoming, inclusive spaces that promote sisterhood by providing innovative, industry-leading properties and asset management services for Gamma Phi Beta and her members. The interactive sessions attended were Food Service Essentials, Impactful Facility Design, Partners in Preventative Maintenance, Fostering Sisterhood Through the Facility Experience, Getting to Know Gen Z, Trends in Risk Management, Trends in Insurance, and No More Empty Beds: How to Market Your Facility. Valuable discussions and active participation were a highlight. Networking between various AHC boards from across the country was invaluable. These networking opportunities gave us many ideas and inspiration for improving our facility and its management. Sigma chapter AHC strives to give our members access to living, learning, and gathering spaces that foster community and belonging.
The AHC board contributed $1,000.00 to the Sally Ramseyer Beck/Betty Hailey Crooker Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is awarded to a Gamma Phi Beta member at the University of Kansas for education.
