Mission
To provide for the perpetual maintenance of the gardiner public library and to improve and increase the public library within.

To maintain and improve the physical structure of the library to keep pace with service needs and technological change. The gardiner library maintains a special collection of the history of the lower kennebec valley. This collection is stored in the community archives room and contains many rare and wonderful items from gardiner's history.
