This project tells the stories of Kansas and Kansans during the tumultuous time of both a World War and a global pandemic, to help listeners critically engage with the past and to use local history as a lens through which to view American history more broadly. The series explores connections between the 1918 flu and the countrys experiences with the Covid-19 pandemic. Through learning about our past, we hope to better engage with the present.
