Genesis At The Crossroads Inc

Saffron caravan, the genesis world music ensemble which includes/unites artists from iran, india, afghanistan, morocco, israel/palestine,brazil, venezuela, and the united states for cross-cultural collaborative performances and music education programs. Sounds of healing/sounds of healing in our neighborhoods-a collaboration between sc musicians above and youth musicians from five years of the genesis academy summer institutes for virtual performances and roundtable music education programs. Includes experiential learning with music, creative writing, interwoven with social and emotional learning components.

Genesis task force on violence and public health cross-sector international thought leaders brought together to work collaboratively while sharing deep expertise from their respective fields of public health, physical and mental health (neurology/neuroscience, psychiatry, psychology, and meditation), criminology, restorative justice, media, and the arts. Goals: to develop an agenda and actionable roadmap to implement multiple programs which address violence prevention and mitigation while fostering healing and peacebuilding locally here in chicago and beyond. (no direct medical services will be part of this agenda/roadmap).
