Educator Training & Professional Development Wallace College Student Training (1/25/24) - 15 future educators. Grant Writing Seminar with SBDC (3/7/24) - 20 participants. Brain Health in Alabama Workshop with Dr. Sharlene Newman (3/5/24) - 35 educators/community members. Genomics 101/Ancestry Workshop with HudsonAlpha (6/21/24) - educators and the public. Girls STEM Camp (Troy University, 6/25/24) - 15 middle school girls with teacher guidance. In total, 142 educators trained through workshops, seminars, and collaborative events in 2024.
Field Trips & Community Events Welcomed student and community groups to The ATTA, including: Jessie Frank Movie Premiere (1/20/24) - 35 attendees. Henry County Youth Leadership Lunch (3/19/24) - 18 students. Headland Robotics Team Tour (5/7/24) - 14 students. LEAD Wiregrass Class (6/26/24) - 19 participants. Wallace TRIO First Year Experience Program (7/11/24) - 14 students. Participated in major community events, such as Be My Neighbor Day at Landmark Park, reaching ~300 visitors Yatta Abba Day and opening of The ATTAs first building with over 200 attendees
