Mission
Within the general charitable and educational purposes, the specific and primary purpose of the Foundation is to promote and support the administration of justice in Georgia, particularly through the continuing legal education of criminal defense lawyers through the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Inc.s (which is referred to in the foundation's Bylaws as GACDL) Al Horn, Debra Blum, and Bill Daniel Scholarship funds, as well as through scholarships for public defenders and newly licensed criminal defense lawyers to attend continuing legal education programs.

GACDL Seminar Scholarships: provides funding to support the production of GACDL's continuing education programming and provide access to that programming for public defenders.
The Debra Blum Scholarship trained 92 lawyers on October 11-12, 2024 - without cost to any of them on matter that relate to defending a person being criminally prosecuted whose circumstances involve mental health concerns.
The Al Horn Scholarship provided scholarship toward cost of tuition to attend trail skills training offered by the National Criminal Defense College.
