The georgia engineering foundation (gef) is dedicated to fostering the integrity and advancement of the engineering profession. Its core purposes include providing scholarships for college students in approved engineering and engineering technology degree programs, promoting the study and research of engineering and related sciences (stem) in middle and high school, providing grants to promote stem including the annual georgia engineering and science fair (gsef), the annual asce college student symposium, and mathcounts, as well as ensuring high standards of education and ethical practice within the profession. Additionally, gef works to improve professional relationships and distribute educational materials for the benefit of mankind.
