The georgia transit association (gta) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving public transportation in the state of georgia. We are focused on - coordinating with state legislators to achieve equitable transit outcomes throughout the 123 counties served by public transit in georgia. - working for stable transit funding throughout the state. - providing opportunities for professional development, networking and exchanging information, ideas and experiences. - promoting public transit's image throughout georgia.
Programs

As one of the benefits of membership, the georgia transit association offers workforce professional development training to its members. During the year ended 6/30/23, 8 webinars were offered to members. Approximately 40 members attended each of these sessions. This is in addition to presenting the legislative interests of rural and urban public transit entities, providing a forum for the exchange of information, ideas and experiences while working toward securing adequate and stable funds for public transit and promoting a positive image for transit throughout georgia.
