German American Society

Festivals including the wurst bierfest, schlachtfest, and oktoberfest. These fests are community events for members and non-members and open to the public. While each festival is unique, they all celebrate the foods, wines and beers of germany, traditions and heritage. The fests are all volunteer run and are designed to bring the community at large together to celebrate german heritage and preserve the german culture.

The soccer program has been part of the society's history and is the basis of its formation. The parents of children participating in the soccer program must be members of the society. Parents and children participate in the program and annual banquets to celebrate teams and enhance the culture and heritage of the german society. Parents and their children are strongly encouraged to volunteer at activities of the club including events and maintenance type activities which creates a sense of belonging.
