Gibson County Farm Bureau

Agriculture leadership activities the gibson county farm bureau structure of organizational leadership provides many opportunities for member leaders to keep abreast of issues that affect agriculture. Local board members attend organizational & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local agricultural, civic, & community organizations. Leaders attend district, state & national conferences to network with farmers & other agriculturalists to learn about current issues facing agriculture. A highly developed committee structure provides leadership opportunities for members through meetings, regular communications, and agricultural activities.

Youth leadership development the gibson county farm bureau supports youth agriculture organizations both financially and with volunteer hours. The organization is a primary sponsor of the gibson county 4-h and ffa. Gibson county sponsors and sends 2 students a year to the 4-h congress and also makes a donation to the county ffa banquet. The gibson county farm bureau supports a field day for elementary school children at a local farm to show the children the importance of agriculture in everyday life.
