Support the girdwood childcare building project. Collect public contributions to support the community effort to build a childcare facility that would serve the girdwood community (2,720) and adjoining areas (1,000).

Support local effort to complete a transparent, inclusive review of the girdwood area plan which will guide girdwood land use.

Adaptive ski program: support adaptive ski program at local ski area. More than 100 individuals are involved in the program. No activity in 2024. Bahnson memorial garden: ongoing funding and maintenance for the bahnson memorial garden completed in 2017. The garden is central to the community and used by residents as well as visitors. Girdwood trails: support and maintenance for the girdwood trail system used by residents and visitors to the community. This includes rehab to the hand tram and other trailwork. Estimated 10,000 individuals served. Girdwood playground: ongoing funding and maintenance for girdwood playground completed in 2006. Girdwood library & community center: support girdwood library and community center building project. Collect public contributions to support the project completed in 2008. Serves the girdwood community (2,720), adjoining areas (1,000), visitors from anchorage (290,000 population) and out of state visitors numbering more than 1 million per year. Skateboard park: support local effort to fundraise to renovate and maintain local skateboard park serving users from girdwood and surrounding communities (3,720) as well as visitors to the area. Tennis courts: support local effort to renovate local tennis courts serving users from girdwood and surrounding communities (3,720) as well as visitors to the area. No activity in 2024. Winner creek bridge: support effort to build a bridge to serve outdoor recreationists on the winner creek trail. No activity in 2024. Community recreation center: support local effort to build a community recreation center that will serve residents and visitors to the community. No activity in 2024. Nissman pavilion: nissman pavilion in forest fair park, supported by donations and volunteer labor. Used by all visitors to the park for shelter and picnic or cooking area. Girdwood 2020 lecture series: support community lecture series providing information, provoking thought and stimulating discussion about the girdwood environment. No activity in 2024. Girdwood fungus fair: support girdwood fungus fair to educate the public regarding locally found mushrooms and other flora. Presented to girdwood and surrounding communities (3,720) and visitors from anchorage (290,000 population). Turnagain news: support local effort to produce a newspaper reporting on events and news focused around the turnagain arm area. Townsquare bridge: support local effort to repair and restore the townsquare bridge which connects the girdwood town square to crow creek road. No activity in 2024. Other programs: samuelson trust, girdwood community land trust, girdwood soccer field, latitude 61: friends of girdwood trails, go for the gold supporting olympic athletes, sladen mohl baseball field, and girdwood recycling project.
