Based in the tetons, girls actively participating!(gap) promotes the success of girls through education, self discovery, and community building.
Programs
3 programs
Gap! Programming provides after school personal empowerment sessions for 3rd-8th grade girls (70% anglo/30% latina) in driggs, idaho during the acacademic year. Our sel themed curriculum supports the success of girls through education, self discovery and community building and gives girls tangible skills to become confident, resilient, capable, self advocating leaders. We work with about 50 girs and their families annually.
Gap! Summer camps and learning workshops continue the social emotional learning curriculum conducted during the school year and provides opportunities for young girls to explore the natural resources of the greater yellowstone ecosystem our summer programs include kayaking, camping, backpacking, hiking, foraging, equine assisted learning and ranch camps. These programs help girls try new activities, build valuable peer connections, engage in team building and positive communication, and learn tangible skills.
Jh gender diversity project is a fiscal sponsorship with gap! To support and expand access to providers of gender affirming mental health services in jackson hole.
