Dining Hall & Campus Infrastructure ProjectsGEC co-designed, funded, and provided project management support for the construction of a multi-purpose dining and community space, incorporating solar water heating and renewable energy systems. This initiative enhances student well-being and supports long-term campus sustainability in alignment with the schools growth.

Scholarship Program and Girls Rise FundTo ensure marginalized girls can access and remain in school, GEC underwrote partial and full scholarships for over 30% of students enrolled at KGSS. These funds helped cover tuition, uniforms, food, and other essential needs, prioritizing students at greatest risk of dropping out due to financial barriers.

Other Direct Program ActivitiesOther activities included technical assistance, trip backstopping, operational planning, fundraising support, and investments in ongoing campus maintenance and infrastructure. These initiatives support GECs mission of removing systemic barriers to girls' education.

Ally Funder Alliance (AFA)Through its Ally Funder Alliance initiative, GEC provided capacity-building support and flexible funding to a cohort of locally-led Tanzanian organizations advancing girls education. GEC convened its first AFA Forum to foster peer learning, strengthen collaboration, and surface systemic challenges and solutions.

Garden of the Future Farm at KGSSGEC co-designed and funded a regenerative agriculture project using permaculture principles. The initiative supports school sustainability, integrates environmental education, and creates long-term pathways for food security, climate resilience, and life skills development.
