Mission

We believe that children make great philanthropists givers of themselves for the good of humanity. The Giving Square focuses on building empathy agency and a philanthropic disposition in kids. We run experiential learning programs for children 2nd to 8th grade families and educators. We generate resources for all: a kid-hosted podcast kid-reviewed book awards and a virtual philanthropic advisor.

SERVICE LEARNING WORKSHOP - In 2024 we further piloted our Service Learning Workshop for 5-8 graders with 22 cohorts of students. This program focuses on exploring ones own unique philanthropic strengths experiences and issues of concern.

THE GIVING SQUARE SELECTS ---The Giving Square engaged 1,300 kids in reviewing childrens literature for our national book award. This community engagement program assesses high quality childrens picture books that are aligned to the philosophy of The Giving Square. Every year 3-5 pre-vetted titles are selected as TGS Selects Awardees based on the book reviews of children.
