Programs

Wonderthe conservancy supports strategic education initiatives designed to engage current and future glacier national park stewards of all ages. In this context, education is viewed in a broad sense to include work being done through curriculum-based education, interpretation, environmental education, science education, and community engagement. Projects seek to educate and inspire visitors about conservation, preservation, stewardship, safety, and respect for the cultural and natural resources and wildlife in the park and surrounding areas. Grants are issued to educate and engage visitors. Initiatives encourage learning and stewardship via programs such as ranger-led field trips, teacher workshops, tribal partnership initiatives, native america speaks programs, conservation corps, dark sky programs and more. This includes direct support of our agency partners: grant-kohrs historic ranch and flathead national forest.
Wildlifethe conservancy funds priority projects for glacier national park that preserve, monitor and promote biodiversity, connectivity, and healthy wildlife populations. Glacier national park is a thriving home to over 240 bird species and 65 species of native mammals. Its habitat extends well beyond glacier national park's borders, making the crown of the continent one of the most biologically intact ecosystems in north america. Grants support critical projects throughout the park that preserve, monitor and promote biodiversity, connectivity, healthy wildlife populations and more.
