Adult program - glassroots offers a variety of programs for adults, covering glassblowing, stained glass, blacksmithing, jewelry design, flameworking, kiln work, jewelry, and mosaics. Adult classes include glassblowing, flameworking, stained glass, kiln work, and mosaics, with participants learning to create various decorative and functional items. The organization also offers team-building activities for businesses and private lessons for individuals or small groups.

Sales of art - for more than 20 years, glassroots has positively impacted the lives of teenagers and adults through the art of glassmaking. Additionally, we have supported individuals, companies, and organizations throughout new jersey, the united states, and internationally by designing custom, handmade glass commissions created by our talented teaching artists. Each recipient will appreciate the unique beauty of their award, while your purchase will support highly impactful arts education, workforce development, and entrepreneurship programs for youth and young adults in newark.

Other programsyes: youth entrepreneurial spirit (yes) is an art and entrepreneurship program for high school students, focusing on glass art forms such as glassblowing, fusing, and flamework. Through creating items like drinking glasses, flowers, stained glass art, jewelry, and decorative works, students learn core business principles, marketing strategies, and sales skills. The program aims to inspire creativity, ambition, and collaboration among peers while teaching practical business concepts, budgeting, licensing, and fabrication costs. Yes provides hands-on training and opportunities for aspiring young artist-entrepreneurs to sell their unique glass creations upon completing the program.schools: through glassmaking, students explore art, design, science, technology, history and culture. Glassroots field trips promote critical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork, and align with the new jersey state student learning standards in visual and performing arts and science. Using a culturally-responsive curriculum, our teaching artists deliver programs with care and compassion and begin each workshop with a safety introduction and demonstration. We can bring the world of glassmaking directly to your school! Our trained teaching artists craft unique, hands-on lessons to explore art, science, math, writing, history and culture through the ancient art of glassmaking.rentals: our studios are open to any qualified artist who wants to rent time and equipment.
