Glaucoma Science And Education Foundation Inc

Glaucoma science and education foundation, inc. (gsef), was formed to address unmet needs in the field of glaucoma research and education. Gsef will promote innovative research by soliciting and awarding grants for funding to further delineate the genetic underpinnings of glaucoma damage, further define risk factors and models for glaucoma onset and progression, and refine our understanding of the structural and functional relationships of the optic nerve. The foundation hopes to provide catalyst funding for innovative projects that can lead to future federal funding. Ideas for research funding will be solicited from glaucoma clinical and basic science researchers. Gsef will also pursue opportunities to support and develop educational programs for eye care providers, researchers' trainees.
