The corporation is organized under the general not-for-profit corporation act for purposes of providing financial education and housing counseling to underserved populations and any other charitable, educational or other purpose described in sections 501(c)(3) of the united states internal revenue code of 1986, as amended ("code"). Not withstanding any other provision of these articles of incorporation, the corporation is formed and shall be operated exclusively for one or more tax-exempt purposes specified in section 501(c)(3) of the code. Our mission is to financially empower the community through our direct service programs, volunteer activities, and through community giveback.
