Annual conference and workshops:global investigative journalism conference - every two years, gijn holds the global investigative journalism conference, widely acknowledged as the leading international event for the world's investigative reporters. Its last conference, held in september 2023 in gothenburg, sweden, attracted over 2,100 journalists from 130 countries. Attendees joined 200 sessions over 4 days on a variety of topics, as well as targeted networking sessions. In years when the global conference is not held, gijn has co-hosted the asian investigative journalism conference. Gijn also assists member organizations with their own regional conferences, and hosts workshops, seminars, and webinars around the world.
