liver cancer awareness, education and policy: the liver cancers council and liver cancers initiatives are a strategic collaborative approach to creating proactive initiatives addressing the growing prevalence and mortality posed by hepatocellular carcinoma and other liver and biliary cancers. 2024 activities included landscape surveys, education and policy partnerships, and October is for liver awareness campaign.

liver health is public health: the policy director in the u.s. and director of the European office helped gli accelerate its comprehensive liver health policy program in 2024. work products included policy assessment, monthly liver health policy update newsletters, website content, engagement of Fatty Liver council members, collaborative liver and public health advocacy partnerships, relationship building with government agencies, legislators, and potential collaborating organization, legislative briefings, and support of and by patient advocates.

Advanced Advocacy Academy: Connects liver patients and family members with the information, skills, and opportunities that they need to effectively advocate for their liver health.

Pediatric and Rare: Elevate the visibility and voice of the pediatric and rare liver diseases community and strengthen the organizational infrastructure of pediatric and rare liver disease organizations.
