The organization is a holding company for its wholly owned subsidiaries, global animal health-tanzania and wsu international development, which are also washington state not-for-profit corporations. All entities are operated and managed by individuals who are also employees of washington state university, a governmental entity and a part of the state of washington. Wsu global health and wsu international development operate in foreign countries to further the organization's mission to advance education, science, and research.
