NUTRITION INITIATIVE - In 2024, we provided an estimated 483,540 meals at schools, extended families, and widow-lead households to benefit orphan children in Ethiopia Kenya, Pakistan, and South Sudan. During the year, we were able to provide food aid to as many as 2,012 orphan children. There was no growth in this initiative over 2023 as we simply maintained our current Mission Projects that distributed food aid.
EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP - We partner with local area schools in Kenya and Zambia that empower orphan children to attend school and continue their education. We partnered with fourteen schools in 2024 that provisioned education to 591 orphan children in Kenya and Zambia. Most of these children would not attend school if not for our scholarships. These scholarships are awarded on financial need and the parental status of the child. We increased the number of scholarships granted by 18 in 2024, or additional 92 orphan children.
