Mission
Economic development, we promote grass-roots efforts to alleviate poverty and suffering in developing countries, particularly through education and training, with a focus on women, children, and other marginalized groups.
Programs
3 programs
Construction was completed in cameroon on a vocational secondary school serving orphaned & displaced children, ongoing costs of running the primary and secondary schools were supplmented to keep tuition low, and 2 meals per week were provided to over 200 primary school children. We also combat child rape by challenging a culture that blames even small children when they are raped. Through mothers' workshops, survivor conferences, community teams, radio programs, school clubs, and first responder teams, we are freeing victims from a lifetime of shame and are shifting blame to the perpetrators. This is an imperative first step in these communities where 1 in 3 girls are raped before they reach puberty.
The program in kenya rescues girls from child marriage or impending child marriage and provides them with education. Both boys and girls are empowered through clubs reaching more than 1,500 middle school students. A safe house was constructed for children too young to attend boarding school.
Global pearls addresses issues such as education, healthcare, agriculture, income generation, hunger, and gender-based violence in developing countries around the world by empowering locals to tackle the issues they are most passionate about.
