Mission
Global Strategies empowers communities in the most neglected areas of the world to improve the lives of women and children through healthcare.

Health and TechnologyGlobal Strategies' flagship clinical decision support platform, NoviGuide, continues to expand in both reach and functionality. NoviGuide Newborn Essentials is scaled widely across Uganda and eastern Congo. We estimate conservatively that this program serves more than 25,000 newborns per year and it is growing rapidly. Pediatric Essentials, and STI Essentials are large clinical applications currently in testing. (Continued information can be found in Schedule O)
Mornitoring and EvaluationWe maintain a high standard for monitoring and evaluation through both in-person visits and real-time digital systems. Our tools collect daily data on neonatal outcomes, stock levels, and application usage, even in remote or conflict-affected areas. This data has helped identify gaps in care, tailor implementation strategies, and inform partner decision-making. We continue to support academic research on NoviGuide's effectiveness, including IRB-approved studies in Uganda and DRC.
Prevention and Care - Children's AIDS Program (CAP) (continued)Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) for Survivors of Sexual ViolenceGlobal Strategies works with local partners to deliver post-rape medical careincluding HIV prevention, emergency contraception, STI treatment, and referralsat 27 clinics across North and South Kivu. The number of people served by this program varies based on the status of regional conflicts. Our model of real-time supply chain monitoring and local procurement continues to overcome access barriers. MalnutritionOur malnutrition program in Goma provides community-based screening, treatment, and nutritional support for children suffering from moderate and severe malnutrition. Newborn CareGlobal Strategies expands high-quality neonatal care through a dual approach: digital tools and hands-on skills training. The hands-on skill training includes a formal neonatal nurse training program in the city of Goma. In Uganda and eastern Congo, our NoviGuide Newborn Essentials application is now used more than 125,000 per year. In Uganda, we work through an innovative dual training" model pairing nurse mentorship with digital implementation, using NoviGuide as both a clinical tool and a teaching aid.
Health & Technology (continued)We introduced new features such as in-app case reporting, stock visibility, and equipment tracking, and began development on a unified mobile platform capable of bundling all three tools. Our goal is to provide a seamless point-of-care experience for frontline workers delivering newborn, pediatric, and reproductive health services in low-resource settings. In addition, we offer partners a service to transform their clinical algorithms into interactive decision support tools using our NoviGuide platformtailored to their guidelines, workflows, and care priorities.
Education and TrainingEducation is embedded in all Global Strategies programs. In Congo, we graduated a cohort of neonatal nurses trained in both hands-on care and NoviGuide use. In Liberia, we continue to support nursing, social work, and laboratory students through scholarships at the Mother Patern College of Health Sciences. Across Uganda and Congo, we trained a new cadre of local leaders in digital health, many of whom now lead.NoviGuide implementation, data analysis, and user support efforts at their respective facilities.
Public Issue Advocacy and OutreachWe share our models with the broader global health community. We are active members of the newly formed Clinical Decision Support Software Working Group and advocate for integration of decision support into national health strategies.
