Global Ties Akron

The Women's Artpreneurship Initiative is a program developed by Global Ties Akron to empower women artists and entrepreneurs in the Greater Akron area. Launched in 2024, the initiative focuses on helping participants refine their creative business ideas, connect with community resources across Northeast Ohio, and build momentum toward achieving their entrepreneurial goals. By participating in the Women's Artpreneurship Initiative, women artists gain valuable skills and connections to advance their creative enterprises, contributing to the cultural and economic vitality of the Greater Akron community.

The "Know Your Community, Know Your World" program is an educational initiative by Global Ties Akron designed to foster global awareness and cultural understanding among K-12 students in the Greater Akron area. This program brings dynamic guest speakers into classrooms, offering customized, interactive learning experiences focused on various countries and cultures. By collaborating with local international scholars, immigrants, and refugees, the curriculum provides students with diverse perspectives, highlighting the global diversity present within their own community. The goal is to prepare students to thrive in an interconnected and multicultural global society upon graduation.
