Global to local's mission is to advance health equity and improve health in the united states communities through application of best practices around the world. The entity provides community health worker programs, programs to improve community access to quality food, programs to connect people with health and human services, and programs to increase the capacity of individuals and community groups to effectively influence social determinants of health.

The food innovation network (fin) enhances the local food system and increases access to healthy food. In 2024, fin incubated 13 low-income entrepreneurs, operated a farmers market, and provided more than 10,000 hot meals to food insecure households.
