Mission
The Golf Coaches Association of America is dedicated to educating, promoting & recognizing its members who participate in mens golf at all levels. Through its established events & programs, the GCAA maintains a goal of increasing awareness & status of mens golf.
Programs
7 programs
National Coaches Convention - the event is held annually for the membership and invited guests to discuss pertinent issues and topics related to collegiate golf. Numerous educational breakout sessions are held to provide professional development and education to the membership. Nationally significant speakers provide education during the convention. A National Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet is held during the event to recognize the outstanding achievements of selected member coaches.
GCAA National Awards Program - The Association, through its numerous Awards Programs, recognizes the accomplishments of its member coaches and student-athletes, both in the classroom and on the golf course. Awards programs are provided to all divisions within our membership equally. Some of these include: All-American Scholar Team, Coach of the Year and Player of the Year Awards.
Presidential Scholarship Fund - Provides annual academic scholarship support for the children and grandchildren of GCAA members.
Products, shows and other items which increase the ability of GCAA to perform its mission and accomplish its stated objectives through programs for collegiate coaches and players.
Ron Balicki Scholarship Program - Provides collegiate scholarships to aspiring golf journalists.
Other Tournaments - The GCAA held other tournaments to allow players the opportunity for tournament experience. This furthered its mission of providing services to collegiate golfers.
Diversity Initiative - To assist in development and bring greater awareness to Black college golfers and coaches. This includes introducing young minorities to golf, recognize accomplishments of college athletes and coaches and provide guidance and logistical support as needed.
