To eliminate preventable colon cancer death and suffering by increasing screening rates through education, advocacy, health systems improvement and survivor support.

Fighter's fund mission: provide survivor support, including grants to patients battling colon cancer. A high percentage of patients that receive this money live in rural areas that can be far from treatment facilities. Applications are reviewed quarterly by an incredible team of committee volunteers, whom have all been impacted by crc and understand the logistical complications treatment presents to patients and caregivers. Mini grants of 200+ are made to eligible applicants to help offset the cost of travel and expenses. In 2024, 81 minigrants were distributed in the amount of 18,626.

Survivor support group mission: provide survivor support, including grants to patients battling colon cancer. Our local survivor support group meets once per month and gained up to 20 members. Our support group facilitator has created an environment of sharing that supports mental health that cancer patients so desperately need. The cost of this program varies by subsidies required for activities and opportunities for survivors.

First responder education mission: provide education and resources regarding increase risk of cancer for first responders. Each education, firehouses are provided with a particulate hood and contaminate wipes. In 2024, 12 new firehouses were served (approximately 300 fire fighters).
