City Coach: GoodCities' community coaching is a vital part of our leadership development work as leaders implement new plans to impact communities with practical solutions. In 2024 GoodCities worked with the Salvation Army and others in Bloomington, IL using our Discovery and Engagement Process to chart a new course for community service. This process uses a participation-action research approach to identify the city's most pressing needs. It engages leaders from commerce, government, education, healthcare, philanthropy, charitable nonprofits and the church to form cross-sector collaborations that move the needle on issues the community identifies. In addition, Glenn mentored the leaders of Place of Welcome , a nonprofit doing outreach to marginalized young people.
