Workforce development program services - goodwill provides education and career services, as well as job placement opportunities and post-employment support to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment so that they can find and keep good jobs. Individuals can achieve greater levels of self- sufficiency and economic success through goodwill's family strengthening and workforce development services - such as employment training and education, work experience, employment retention services, financial literacy, and youth- based programs. Goodwill programs strengthen communities and families and promote independence and dignity for people who need it most. In 2024, goodwill provided various mission related services to 6,644 people, including employment and vocational training to 675 individuals, information and referral services to 2,903 walk-ins at six service locations, diverted over 98.4 million pounds of material diverted from landfills through sales and salvage, served 2,316 individuals through the goodpartner coach program, had 166 individuals graduate from the role model worker program and served 22 individuals in the jobs plus language program.

Goodwill industries-manasota, inc. (goodwill) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing its mission of changing lives through the power of work and proudly serves 10 counties on the east and west coasts of florida. The west coast counties include sarasota, manatee, hardee, and portions of northwestern charlotte and lee counties, while the east coast counties serve indian river, st. Lucie, martin, okeechobee, and palm beach. Through its mission-integrated social enterprise model, goodwill provides access to resources, training, and employment opportunities that help individuals overcome barriers and improve financial stability. Goodwill accepts clothing and other household donated goods from the public and the sales of these donated goods across its 30+ retail locations fund the mission, which employs more than 1,508 team members, 72% of whom have disabilities and/or disadvantaging conditions. Additionally, the organization offers three core programs which are: (1) the goodpartner coach program offers each goodwill team member with a life coach who provides support and helps facilitate goals for each team member, moving them forward in their job and in life. In 2024, the goodpartner coach program provided coaching to 2,316 people resulting in a retention rate of 84% for 30 days and 74% for 90 days of those served achieving at least one goal. (2) the job connection serves community residents with resume writing and interview skills training. The job connection will assist individuals in finding a meaningful employment either at goodwill or through one of the hundreds of employer partnerships that the organization has. In 2024, the job connection served 601 people resulting in community placements for 257 people with an average wage of $15.62/hour. 95% of those placed were employed in an organization with benefits. (3) the veterans services team offers reintegration services to veterans and their families in finding and maintaining employment. In 2024, there were 554 veterans and their families served, resulting in 49 people being placed at an average wage of $20.35 /hour with a 100% retention rate at 90 days.
