Mission servicesin 2024 goodwill industries of northern illinois served 25,665 people in many different ways, but with the same end goal - helping people create opportunities to enhance their lives. Goodwill's "goodgrads" adult basic education program served 592 people providing both education and case management and 1,308 scholarships to help offset costs associated with the high school equivalency (ged) test. Goodwill's "let's go to work" program gave 51 adults with disabilities the opportunity to 'earn while they learn' in 9 goodwill locations with the goal of transitioning many to the local work force. Goodwill's employment programs placed 1,480 people in good jobs in the local area.
