Mission
The oganization is a grass roots organization dedicated to the protection, preservation and conservation of a unique natural resource that was created in the summer of 2002 when the flood waters of canyon lake raced over the emergency spillway, ripping open the earth to expose a geologic wonder for both amateur and professional geologists. The organization's ojectives include: creating a safe, integrated system of trails along the upper rim and through the gorge providing educational opportunities through field trips and outdoor lectures providing scientific research opportunities
