Mission
The Chapter's primary purpose is to support academic merit, as well as financial need students, to attend Grambling State University by actively recruiting and providing support in the form of scholarships, book grants and donations in the Metropolitan DFW and surrounding area. Our purpose was achieved this year by providing multiple scholarships and providing recruiting services at more than 20 area High Schools. The organization determines who receive scholarships by requesting completed applications from High School Seniors with applicable GPA and returning GSU students as well including request for book grants and special needs. Upon completion of the application requirements a panel of committee members verify the information and select students by utilizing a point system. Monies are issued directly to the University in the student's name.
