Surrounding the beautiful and historic town square, harvest moon festival of the arts celebrates the best of fine arts and fine craft from artists all over the country. Event features over 100 artists and childrens events.
Since 1983 the candlelight tour of homes has welcomed visitors to historic residences and sites during this seasonal event. The community fills the square with living christmas cards, carolers & other winter activities.
The memorial day festivities opened with "the splash into summer patriotic baby" contest. Vintage military vehicles were displayed. Arts and crafts, food and fun were a part of the summer-is-here event. Other activities included music, dancing and competitive food events. The slate of festivities planned by the granbury square merchants on an annual basis to promote the historic district are very well attended by thousands of people each event. These programs, in addition to the smaller festivities not mentioned, not only promote the mission of the granbury square merchants, but promote the hotel, bed and breakfast, and restaurant establishments as well.
