Offered $4,300 in youth scholarships through the high school oratory contest, the prolife essay contest, the prolife youth award, the lead summer camp scholarship, the march for life scholarship, and the dj zarnosky life leadership award. Through the coins for kids program and an outdoor car hop coin drop event, grand rapids right to life donated more than $9,100 to six local pregnancy care centers that offer material goods to women and children. Distributed 3,255 sanctity of human life sunday bulletin inserts to 17 churches. Distributed 3,429 mother's day and father's day prayer cards to 9 churches. Gave prolife educational expo kits to 7 churches to help them with prolife displays. To encourage church representatives with their prolife outreach, we hosted 7 church chat gatherings, 10 prayer vigils in front of planned parenthood, and took participants to the annual conference in lansing. Sent qualified speakers to churches and schools on 3 occasions.
The 37th focus on life benefit dinner was attended by 810 supporters and featured raymond arroyo as the keynote speaker. Hosted the 17th prolife golf classic. Families enjoyed outdoor activities at the 45th pedals & petals. Organized 8 buses to take more than 400 people from michigan to washington, dc, for the march for life. 210 people attended spring into life, featuring george dennehy, who also spoke to more than 200 students at st. Paul the apostle catholic school. Engaged volunteers in get-out-the-vote activities to help elect prolife candidates. Hosted life connections luncheons quarterly to allow employees and volunteers of local prolife agencies to learn about new programs and network with others. Mobilized volunteers to participate in 40 days for life and life chain.
