Education: forty-two children attended little lambs preschool, obtaining a head start in learning and in knowing jesus. Each child recieved two meals a day. Gsm also paid for tuition, fees, supplies, uniforms, shoes, and transportation for 17 children to attend elementary and high school in the village of sipete and a few other villages in eswatini. One attended skills training at the school for the deaf where he learned woodworking and electrical work. Additionally, 8 students were financially assisted to attend post-secondary training (trade school or university), including room & board as needed.
Charity: the church on site provided community and support for up to 60 children on sundays, over 20 women, and a few men. This is crucially important in the village, since it's a 45 minute drive from town, and car ownership is nearly nonexistent. Under the guidance of an effective youth pastor, the church had a thriving youth group that grew in their faith and shared the gospel with their families and friends. They attended a special conference as a christmas celebration and gift to them. Eight women from the church continued to make and sell baskets at fair trade prices. These baskets were then resold at grand staff thrift boutique in buhler, ks. This income for the women is one of the rare job opportunities in this remote village. Gsm distributed food to hungry families and hygiene products to women and children. Funding for emergency healthcare was provided as needs became apparent. The two other formerly-sponsored young men were given financial assistance to help them thrive. Church supplies and tent repair weere also provided from these funds.
